2.Transportation

MetroThe Tehran Metro is one of the fastest, most cost-effective modes of transport in the city. The metro system operates from 5:30 to 22:30 every day. Bus and BRT BusBRT system in capital enjoys a spread network throughout the city with lots of bus stops which makes its usage highly accessible for people. You can use bus for your interior transformation and you cannot use it from airport. for More information about Tehran BRT click here

Public Transportation card: for transformation in tehran, it's better to buy an electronic card because not only are they vastly cheaper and more convenient, but they can also be used for the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) lines and the regular Tehran public buses. You can get this card from metro station and charge it. Getting a ticket is easy, Just walk up to a counter or use a ticket machine in the station.

Note: Don`t forget that if you do get the card, remember to check out when leaving the station; otherwise, the next time you use the card you’ll incur a small fine.

3.Food

Iran has a lot of traditional and delicious foods that you can't find them in other country. Foods that you can find in any restaurant in Iran like: Kebab (Lamb, Chicken, Lamb Liver, Ground Meat), Gormeh Sabzi (Green Herb Stew),Fesenjan (Pomegranate Walnut Stew), Bademjan (Eggplant And Tomato Stew), Baghali Polo (Rice With Dill And Fava Beans), Zereshk Polo (Barberry Rice), Ash e Reshteh (Noodle and Bean Soup), Abgoosht – An Iranian dizi preparation, Gheimeh – A typical stew, Khoresh Karafs , Kookoo or Kuku – An appetizer, Tahchin – A rice cake, Mirza Ghassemi – A famous Iranian dish, Koofteh Berenji, Koofteh Tabrizi, Dolmeh and etc. If you go to Isfahan try delicious Biryani)Lamb meat and White sheep's liver), khoresht mast(Beef neck and yogurt) that has sweet taste. 

Note: Don`t forget, you cannot find wine or beer or alcoholic beverage in Iran but you can try Iranian traditional Beverages  like Dough, sekanjebin with Cucumber, Mint syrup, khakshir(Chia and water) and variety example of Iranian drinks.

 

4.Clothing

men: As it so often is, the dress code for men is simple as can be. You could sum it up in just a few words: everyday street wear. Leave your shorts and flip flops at home and you’re basically good to go. We found long-sleeved, cotton or linen shirts to be the perfect attire for men.

women: hijab. When in public, you are obliged by law to cover your hair at all times. So yes, in the hotel lobby and in the restaurant but no, not in your room or at a friend’s house. There is no restriction on how colourful your hijab can be, anything goes.
